Eligibility & Auditions
all students are required to have trained with Merit Arts Company—either in our recreational classes or competitive teams—during the current season to be eligible for auditions.
If you are interested in joining our Training Team to prepare for next season, please contact the studio directly for more information.

Dress Code & Appearance
Attire: All dancers must wear all-black dancewear.
Footwear: Bring all styles of dance shoes currently available to you.
Hip Hop Candidates: You must bring a dedicated pair of clean, indoor-only sneakers.
Hair: Hair must be slicked back completely away from the face and securely pulled up.
Makeup: Please arrive with a clean, polished look consisting of mascara, blush, and lip gloss.
Arrival & Preparation
Timing: Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the audition start time. We will begin promptly and cannot delay for late arrivals.
Check-In: Audition numbers will be staged in the lobby. Please locate your assigned number and attach it to your dancewear immediately upon arrival.
Warm-Up: Once checked in, use the remaining time to stretch and prepare quietly in the designated area.
Entry Requirement: Your completed Audition Packet is your ticket into the room. It must be filled out in its entirety to be collected at the door; dancers without a finished packet will not be permitted to enter.
